Some things I’ve learned in the CBT clinics I’ve been going to regarding anxiety that I thought might be helpful to some.

fun little thing to tack on: triggers ARE NOT things that make you uncomfortable or uneasy, they are material that lead to visceral reactions/flash backs/panic attacks due to previous traumas
they aren’t even phobias
they are related to ptsd, not general discomfort or fear

As someone who has suffered through years generalized anxiety and PTSD, this is a really good PSA. Learning the difference between a quirk, fear, reaction and a full-blown disorder is something everyone should do. People who suffer through these are not trying to be “little snowflakes” as some love to call it; hell, I didn’t even talk about my anxiety or PTSD until 2 years ago.
one time a white student from the university in my home town was talking to a student that came from africa to study and said “wow growing up in africa must have been so tough for you” and he just replied “my family could buy you” and walked away
